“In the spring of 2018, I was two months away from college graduation. Between the cap and gown pictures, graduation party planning, and days working an internship, it was a busy time filled with excitement.
.
At least it was supposed to be.
.
I’d had a realization earlier that semester. There was a wrinkle in my soul, a feeling of unrest. Truly, when I thought about the current career path I was walking, the peace of God was nowhere to be found.
.
I’d realized that the future I’d planned was simply not what I was meant to do.
.
Constantly, I wrestled with this unnerving feeling. When you work for four years toward a specific goal, answer everyone’s questions about your future with the same response again and again, put all your energy into one thing… It’s quite unsettling to suddenly know that it’s just not right anymore.
.
What would I do now? How would I tell everyone? And if I wasn’t supposed to do this, what was I supposed to do?”

Seriously though, I don’t even drink my protein powder anymore😂 I just use it to make some of my favorite foods EVER, aka pancakes😍.

+2 scoops of @drinkorgain protein powder
+ 1/8 tsp. of baking powder
+1/2 cup of egg whites
.
Use 1 tsp. of ghee to coat your pan before placing your pancake mix! It gives your cakes a nice golden brown finish🙌🏼 Our God🙏🏻 is the only one who can take a hopeless, dark, or impossible situation, and completely turn it around. Creating something beautiful and even better than before🙌🏼.

If you’ve had the opportunity to hear the stories of believers, who chose to surrender and follow the Lord, it’s no coincidence that their lives have flourished with love, hope, and abundance. It’s all possible because of God💘.

I’m not trying to tell you that life as a Christian is always 🌈 and 🦄 , there will be trials! But God has an amazing power of using those difficult times for His purpose. To build character and create testimonies to attest to His love & grace❤️ .

To shed light on the power of testimony, vulnerability, and most importantly God, I’ll be featuring “The Testimony Series: Steps of Faith👣✨”

Over the next 4 months I’ll be introducing you to a guest writer who will share their testimony. They’ll also leave you with a little golden nugget🌻so you can grow in your faith and walk with Christ.

Before I embraced balanced eating, I used to follow a strict diet and wouldn’t allow myself to eat certain foods🙈.
.
When I had my weekly “cheat” meal I would still feel guilty, because I was eating a “bad” food.
.
If you experience this sis, you’re not alone. This is a common feeling😓 women experience.
.
Keep in mind that when you decide to eat balanced🥑, your giving your body a wide variety of nutrition, that it wouldn’t otherwise get if you put limits on what you eat!
.
Eating spaghetti🍝 with a chocolate chip cookie🍪is balanced! Having a kale salad with chicken noodle soup🍜is also balanced!
.
If you begin to feel guilt or shame when you eat a particular food, GIVE IT TO GOD🙏🏻Pray and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with peace✨ instead.
.
I’m pretty positive that Jesus wouldn’t want you getting worked up over a bowl of pasta. He loves you like crazy❤️, just the way you are!
.
He also wants you to take care of yourself. And you can do that by nourishing your body with balanced eating🍓🍴.
